Electric Cooperative Youth Tour and Cooperative Youth Leadership Camp Winners Announced
Lane-Scott Electric announces the student delegates who will attend the Electric Cooperative Youth Tour to Washington, D.C. and the Cooperative Youth Leadership Camp near Steamboat Springs, CO this summer! Both all-experiences-paid trips offer students exceptional leadership building skills, networking opportunities, and experiences that are guaranteed to make a lasting impression!
Brookelyn Henning, Ransom, and Breanna Berndt, Dighton, will attend the Electric Cooperative Youth Tour in June. Henning and Berndt will spend a week with their peers from around the country visiting historic monuments, touring world-class museums, and meeting elected officials in their nation’s capital.
Eve Rider, Ness City, and Makayla Mudd, Dighton, will join students from cooperative communities in Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Wyoming in July to travel to the beautiful Rocky Mountains. This weeklong adventure will engage in activities to develop leadership and speaking skills, learn about democracy and the electric cooperative business model. Along with professional development, Rider and Mudd will get to experience white water rafting on the Colorado River and other fun camp activities.
