March 2025 Newsletter
In March we start talking about Storm Preparedness. Western Kansas can bring blizzards or thunderstorms, but either way Spring and potential hazardous weather is right around the corner. Manager's Article, Be Ready for Storm Season, contains recommended ways to best prepare for storms and outages, as well as a reminder on how to report outages at Lane-Scott. Tornado Safety & Electrical Hazards includes steps to take before, during, and after a tornado strikes.
The 2024 Outage Report sumarizes the number of outage events by cause and the Lane-Scott overall Average Service Availability Index score. February 2025 Newsletter
February brings some of the coldest weather of the year. This edition of the Lane-Scott Electric newsletter features several articles focusing on energy efficiency, what factors affect electricity prices, and how you can make an impact on home energy savings. The articles include Manager's Article, "Understanding Factors That Impact Your Energy Bills," "Wrapped in Savings" which contains helpful information about insulation, and " Effectrive Ways to Lower Home Energy Use."
Also included in the newsletter is information regarding the 2025 Low-Income Energy Assistance program, the Lane-Scott Electric Continuing Education Scholarships, and our Sharing Success Grant Program for 2025.
