May at Lane-Scott is the month nominations are accepted for those interested in becoming a member of our Board of Trustees. The KCL magazine highlights the importance of a Trustee and what it takes to be a Lane-Scott Electric Board of Trustee in the Manager's Article, Trustees are the Foundation of the Electric Cooperative. Also included on the subject is the upcoming Nominating Committee Meeting Notice.  Additionally, May is Electrical Safety Month. Find out how to Test Your GFCI Outlets, how Lane-Scott Electric Restores Power Safely and Efficiently when outages occur, and how to Plant Trees Safely to avoid unnecessary future outages. We are also notifying members of a recent Text Scam Alert of a impersonator claiming to be Lane-Scott Electric.

April is known in the electrical cooperative world for a time to recognize our linemen and show them our appreciation for what they do! Read the manager's article The Power Behind Your Power which shares some interesting facts about lineworkers. You'll want to see who was selected to attend the 2022 Youth Leadership Camp from Lane-Scott's service area, and read about the 2021-2022 Dighton Electrorally Team's improvements to their electric and solar powered cars!  With the arrival of Spring, it is important for us to remind you to Plan Ahead to Call Before You Dig and to LOOK UP to Avoid Overhead Power Lines while in the field.
