Lane-Scott Electric Sends Crew to Help in Arkansas
Cooperation Amongst Cooperatives, it’s what makes co-ops great and is one of our seven founding principles at the heart of every cooperative. Cooperatives provide mutual aid to help other cooperatives when disasters strike. We know if we are ever in the same situation, there are others willing to help.
Such an event happened on Memorial weekend when more than 70 tornadoes were reported across 15 states – killing at least 25 people were killed and destroying many communities.
Our Lane-Scott crew led by crew chief, Ben Mann, with linemen, Dellon Shelton and Blake McVicker, and apprentice lineman, Taylor Cable, traveled to Bentonville, Arkansas to assist in restoring power to members of Carroll Electric Cooperative and North Arkansas Electric Cooperative. They were joined by cooperatives from Arkansas, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Louisiana.
