Text messaging is an important method for us to communicate with you. From billing alerts to service updates, text messaging is an effective way for us to help keep you updated on news regarding Lane-Scott Electric.
We wanted to let you know of a small change to our text messaging. When you received a text message from Lane-Scott in the past, it has come from a “short code” of numbers representing a phone number. Now, Smarthub text messages from Lane-Scott are coming from a toll-free number (844-968-1966). We’re making this change to help ensure we continue to communicate effectively with you through text.
If you don’t already receive text messages from us and would like to, here’s how:
- You must be registered in Smarthub. To sign-up go to https://lanescott.smarthub.coop and create an account if you don’t already have one.
- After logging in, go to Notifications – Manage Contacts to add the phone number to receive text messages.
- Go back to Notifications – Manage Notifications to select the type of messages you wish to receive text messages for.
This change will not affect your service or communication from us in any way. Remember if you opt-out of receiving the text message notification when you receive the text message, you will opt-out of all text messages. It’s better to log into Smarthub to manage your notifications. If you have questions, please contact us.
