Shimer Hired for Internship at Lane-Scott Electric

Boston Shimer, a Dighton High School junior, is our summer electrician intern. Shimer will primarily assist Master Electrician Michael Pollock completing projects while gaining valuable hands-on experience. Last year, Shimer enrolled in the Dodge City Community College Career Technical Education Classes Program. The program allows students to get a head start on college education, taking specialized technical classes while in high school. Shimer attended HVAC and electric classes five mornings a week during the school year.

“He is a very motivated young man,” said Scott Briand, Lane-Scott Electric Warehouse Supervisor. “We are excited to have an extra pair of hands to help Michael, and to help Boston as he continues his technical education.”
