When we say that we live in a “connected” world, most of us think about technology, like our smartphones and other devices and gadgets. But when you’re a consumer-member of an electric co-op (that’s you!), there’s so much more to being part of our connected co-op community.
As a member of Lane-Scott Electric you help to power good in our local community through initiatives like the Washington DC Youth Tour, Leadership Camp, scholarships, food drives, and other initiatives that help the most vulnerable in our community.

We greatly value our connection to you, the members we serve. To help you connect with us, we have several online resources for your convenience. You can download our SmartHub app or go to the SmartHub website at www.lanescott.smarthub.coop, where you can monitor and manage your home energy use, pay your bill online, and manage your account. You can also go to our new Lane-Scott Electric webpage at www.lanescott.coop where you can find a direct link to SmartHub, Go to our Outage Center and Live Outage Map, easily access all the recent Lane-Scott news, learn about electrical safety, see what scholarships, contests, and programs are available to you, find account management information, and stay up-to -date on all there is to know about Lane-Scott.
When you follow Lane-Scott on social media, you can stay up to date on all the current happenings such as power restoration efforts, event notices, contests, program deadlines, and much more. You’ll also see photos of our line crews in action and our employees helping with community service projects — and who doesn’t enjoy seeing good things happening in our community!
When you sign up for text alerts or email notifications you can receive notices about your account(s) such as when outages affect your meter, when they’ve been restored, billing and payment updates. You can also choose to receive notifications such as events and contests, scholarships, electronic newsletters, and important information from the manager.
By connecting with us, you can get real-time updates from your co-op. That’s why we want to make sure we have your most current contact information on hand. If we can’t connect with you on these platforms or in person, you could miss out on potential savings or important information.
Lane-Scott Electric relies on data for nearly every aspect of our operations, and up-to-date contact information from our members helps ensure we can provide the highest level of service that you expect and deserve.
Updated contact information can even speed up the power restoration process during an outage. When you call to report an outage, our automated system recognizes your phone number and matches it with your account location. Accurate information helps our outage-management system predict the location and the possible cause of an outage, making it easier for Lane-Scott Electric crews to correct the problem.
