Kansas Provides Utility and Rent Assistance for Households Impacted by COVID-19
The Kansas Emergency Rental Assistance (KERA) program through the Kansas Housing resources Corporation began in March of this year. The program provides rent, utility, and internet assistance to households experiencing financial hardships as a result of the COVID pandemic. Landlords and tenants apply through a joint online process with funds being applied directly to the service provider or landlord. Approved applicants are eligible for up to 12 months assistance. The Application Deadline is August 1, 2021.
