April 2026 Newsletter

The Lane-Scott April newsletter as published in the Kansas Country Living magazine, is an 8-page spread full of great information pertaining to Lane-Scott specifically and the electric industry as a whole.

In April, we celebrate our the men and women who make keeping the lights on possible every single -day on Lineman Appreciation Day. Our Manager's Article, "Lineworkers Are Read When It Matters Most," recognizes their hard work and dedication.

Also in April, we begin the Trustee election process with notice of the nominating committee meeting and notice to members who want to run for a Lane-Scott Board position. In the newsletter, you can find what it takes to be a trustee and how to start the process to run for election this year.

We announce this year's Electric Cooperative Youth Tour and Cooperative Leadership Camp delegates, completion of a new substation on our system, and publish our list of current and past members who have Unclaimed Capital Credits. 

You can also find out what policies America's electric cooperatives are focused on in 2026 and important safety information about downed power lines.

March 2026 Newsletter

The Lane-Scott Electric March Newsletter as featured in the centerfold of the Kansas Country Living magazine includes an article about Lane-Scott's recognition by NRECA for the recent innovation and evolution at Lane-Scott, "Keeping the Lights On - 2025 Reliability Update", and an article about Portable Power Stations for Power Outages.

Also included is recognition of Lane-Scott trustee, Randy J. Evans, for completing his Credentialed Cooperative Director certificate from NRECA ,and apprentice linemen Bailey Wells and Taylor Cable who completed 3-phase and metering training. 

Finally, there is member notice of the end of the Lane-Scott Cold Weather Rule on March 15.

February 2026 Newsletter

The Lane-Scott February Newsletter features articles, "Reliability Requires Investment" and " Whether Traveling or Snug at Home, Be Prepared For Winter." 

Also included is important safety information, Tips to Avoid Utility Scams and Winter Emergency Kit. Information is included about the 2026 Low Income Energy Assistance Program and Lane-Scott's CoBank Sharing Success Grants and Continuing Education Scholarships.
