Evans Achieves Credential in Today’s Electric Utility Competencies
Randy Evans, a Lane-Scott Electric Cooperative, Inc. Board of Trustee member, recently received the Credentialed Cooperative Director (CCD) certificate from the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA).
Keeping up with the ever-changing electric utility environment, new governance skills, and having a solid knowledge of the cooperative principles and business model is an important skill set for the Lane-Scott Electric Board of Trustees.
NRECA programs help electric cooperatives across the nation achieve their education goals. The CCD program requires demonstrated understanding of the basic competencies contained in five core courses: director duties and liabilities, understanding the electric business, board operations and process, strategic planning, and financial decision making.
Mr. Evans was elected to the Lane-Scott Electric Board of Trustees in 2020, representing the Lane-Gove County District. His dedication to the board and continuing education is a valuable asset to Lane-Scott Electric.
