Lane-Scott Electric Retires Over $390,000 in Capital Credits

Capital Credits are just one of the many reasons it's great to be a member of an electric co-op. Lane-Scott is proud to announce we are issuing a general retirement of capital credits in excess of $390,000 to members who received capital credit allocations in 1988, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1997, and a small portion of 1998. If you had an electric account in your name at Lane-Scott during these years, capital credits will be returned to you.

Apply to Attend the 2022 Cooperative Youth Leadership Camp

Lane-Scott is excited to announce that we will be sponsoring two sophomore or junior high school students this year to attend the Cooperative Youth Leadership Camp to be held in Steamboat Springs, CO July 15-22, 2022! Electric Cooperatives across the country have had to cancel their sponsorship of the Cooperative Youth Leadership Camp and Electric Cooperative Youth Tour the past two years due to Covid-19 restrictions. So far this year, the Leadership Camp is back on!

Portable Generac Generators Now Available

Portable generators are a welcome addition to many activities at home, at work, and away. In an emergency, they can provide critical backup power.

The Lane-Scott Electric HVAC and Electrical Supply Store can now order Generac portable generators. Call 620-397-5327 or visit the store at 410 S. High St. to find out what generator is right for your needs. You can also access the online generator sizing calculator and the full line of Generac products HERE

With high demand for portables, lead times are 2-4 months out!

Give the Gift of Electricity this Christmas

Not sure what to give a family member or friend this Christmas? Give the gift of electricity by purchasing a Lane-Scott Electric Christmas Gift Certificate.

Call Lane-Scott at 800-407-2217 or 620-397-5327, or visit our office at 410 S. High Street in Dighton (Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.). The recipient must be a Lane-Scott Electric member. The member's account will be automatically credited for the gift certificate amount, and you will receive a Christmas certificate to give as a gift!

Pole Testing 2.0

Providing reliable electricity for our members is our mission at Lane-Scott. Maintaining our infrastructure minimizes damage sustained by our system. Part of our maintenance routine involves evaluating the condition of our utility poles. This year, pole testing is underway, but with a new and improved process using upgraded ultrasound technology.
