2023 Summer Grid Reliability
Recently, summer grid reliability and adequate resource availability have been a hot industry topic. A NERC report indicated two-thirds of the U.S., including the SPP region, has an elevated risk for insufficient operating reserves in above-normal peak conditions. The good news is all three entities predict adequate generation and transmission to ensure electric reliability during normal peak weather patterns this summer.
Lane-Scott Electric Scholarship Recipients
The Lane-Scott Electric Continuing Education Scholarship recipients were announced at our Annual Meeting in July. Eight students were selected from the 32 applications received this year based on G.P.A., extra-curricular activities, community, school involvement, and goals for the future. This scholarship is available to graduating high school seniors, or those already attending a higher educational institution.Priority is given to those in the Lane-Scott Electric service territory, students entering an electrical field/trade, or HVAC trade.
