Lane-Scott Electric’s CoBank Sharing Success Grants are again available for organizations who serve our service territory. CoBank began the Sharing Success Program in 2012 as a grass-roots effort with their customers to award local organizations who could most effectively benefit their communities. CoBank and their customers have together contributed tens of millions of dollars to groups such as volunteer fire departments, local schools, and hunger relief programs
Lane-Scott began participating in 2020, providing grants to organizations that benefit a community or communities who receive electric service from Lane-Scott, or who’s purpose benefits members of Lane-Scott, and serves a public purpose. Examples of awarded grants include – building upgrades and repairs, handicap accessibility projects, upgraded technology, aid to programs that offer a service to the community, food banks, fire departments, public library programs, child development programs, ministry programs, cemetery marker restoration, health center equipment, recreation commission projects, etc. The possibilities are endless!
We are awarding up to four $1,000 grants again this year!
The application period for this year begins the first of January and ends April 1, 2024. Organizations are allowed only one application per year and can be made electronically online at www.lanescott.coop/cobank-sharing-success-grant-program, by printing the application form from our website, or can be picked up at our office at 410 S. High St., Dighton. The application requires a description of the organization, the purpose in which the grant will be used, and who will benefit from the grant.
We look forward to another year of helping our local organizations with their programs and projects! Please pass along this information to anyone you know of who could benefit from this opportunity.
