2023 Lane-Scott Electric Outage Information
The chart above shows outage events experience by Lane-Scott Electric members last year, by cause. The average number of interruptions per meter was less than one time.
The majority of outage events, 25%, were caused by lightning, rain, or wind. Major events and birds and animals both accounted for 17%.
On average outages lasted 1.6 hours per meter. And total outage time was an amazing 41% below average from the last 10 years.
Lane-Scott’s Average Service Availability Index (ASAI) was at 99.98%, meaning members have reliable electricity on our system 99.98% of the time. This is the lowest our ASAI has been in the past four years. There are multiple reasons for the improvement including milder weather, but faster response times and a hardened system has also helped.
