2022 Lane-Scott Electric Outage Information
The chart above shows outage events experience by Lane-Scott Electric members last year, by cause. The average number of interruptions per customers was 1.3.
On average outages lasted 2.5 hours per meter. And total outage time was 19% below average from the last 10 years. This puts Lane-Scott’s Average Service Availability Index (ASAI) at 99.96%, meaning members have reliable electricity on our system 99.96% of the time…which is pretty amazing!
The majority of the 61 outage events were due to lightning/rain/wind which accounted for nearly 30% of the outages. Broken equipment including phase floaters, fuses, broken jumpers, and broken poles also accounted for 30% of events.
Outages inevitably occur in western Kansas, but despite our sometimes adverse weather conditions, Lane-Scott Electric is proud to be able to provide reliable electricity to our members.
