Lane-Scott to Implement Demand Rates

Beginning with July bills (June usage), new rates will be in effect for Lane-Scott Electric members. This will include a demand charge to residential, domestic, and general service small connects that have not previously had a demand charge.

This article explains:

  • What is a Demand Charge.

  • Why our rate structure is changing.

  • How you can lower your demand and save money on your bill.

The full revised rate schedule approved by the Lane-Scott Electric Board of Trustees will be printed in the June Kansas Country Living magazine. In the meantime, the rates as proposed to the board, as well as additional demand explanation, and the cost of service study can be found  HERE

Be mindful of overhead power lines when completing these tasks.
