This month wraps up our Getting to Know Your Lane-Scott Electric Employees articles. If you’ve missed any of the previous articles, you can find them in the Kansas Country Living magazine archives at www.lanescott.coop. We hope you were able to gain a little insight as to who we are at your local electric cooperative!
Myron Seib is one of our two journeyman linemen who works from the Ness City facility. Myron has been a lineman for 19 years, having begun his career with Aquila until 2007, then transitioned to Lane-Scott. When asked what he enjoys most about his job, he said being out in the different areas and working with the public. Myron is married to Karen and has three daughters, two stepsons, two son-in-law’s, one daughter-in-law, and three grandbabies. He loves to hunt, fish, spend time with his grandkids, loved watching his kids play sports growing up, and can’t wait until he can watch his grandkids play! He also enjoys raising livestock and working on his family farm. The advice he offered to you is, “Live life to the fullest, love your family and the people closest to you and don’t hold grudges. Life is too short… you never know when a life changing event may come your way.”
