LSEC Awards Education Scholarships

Two Seniors Receive $500 Scholarships

  

Alysson Foos the daughter of Bryan and Jennifer Foos of Ness City. She graduated from Ness City High School in 2019, then attended her first year at Tabor College in Hillsboro. She's involved in Presidential Leadership, volunteering at Mainstreet Ministries, Share Prayer & Dare, Naviagors and Science Club, and Cheer. During high school Foos received several academic awards including being selected as a Kansas Governor's Scholar and the class valedictorian. She participated in leadership groups, was involved in multiple sports, scholar's bowl, 4-H, cheer, speech and drama. Foos plans to graduate with a double major in social work and psychology and attend graduate school to obtain her master's in social work.

Nate Gabel the son of Jolene and Jeff Gabel of Ness City High School in May 2020. He was a four-year honor roll student participatin gin football, track and boys club. He was also involved with CYO and NCYC. Gabel plans to attend Rocky Mountain Line Technician (RMLT) program through Trinidad State in Colorado Springs. While attending RMLT, he will learn to build, repair, and maintain electrical distribution systems.
