What To Do If The Electricity Goes Off
First, check the fuses or circuit breaker. Then check your neighborhood to determine if the electricity is off in your area. If the area electricity is off, call Lane-Scott Electric to report it. Power outages, trouble calls, or emergencies may be reported to Lane-Scott Electric at 1-800-407-2217 or 620-397-5327, 24 hours a day.
Lane-Scott Electric employees are available to take your outage calls between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. An after-hours dispatch service is available for outage calls outside of business hours. For Lane-Scott Electric to respond quickly, have detailed information ready for the dispatch service.
When reporting an outage, please report:
- Your name and phone number
- Location of the service and/or driving directions to the outage
- Who’s name the account is under, if different from the caller
- All information pertaining to the outage to help Lane-Scott Electric personnel locate the problem
Please do not call 911 or the sheriff’s department if the phone is busy. Wait a few minutes and try again.
Life-Sustaining Medical Equipment
If you or a member of your family use essential life-sustaining medical equipment, please let us know. Lane-Scott personnel can contact you to let you know about scheduled power interruptions for maintenance purposes.
Please be sure to acquire a back-up power supply for any medical equipment that requires a constant power supply.
