Bill Pay Methods

Members receive a standard monthly bill for electrical use.  Bills are due upon receipt and must be received prior to or on the due date listed on the bill.  Several payment options are available for your convenience.

Traditional Mail

Your monthly bill from Lane-Scott Electric may be paid by mail to P.O. Box 758, Dighton, KS  67839.  Payments must be received in our office, by noon on the 26th of the month.  We do not use the mailing postmarked date for the payment date.

Pay in Person

Payments may be made in person at the Lane-Scott Electric office, 410 S. High St., Dighton, KS 67839.  We accept cash, check, money orders, credit or debit card payments.

Drop Box Locations

We have two conveniently located drop boxes which can be accessed 24 hours a day. The first is in the Lane-Scott Electric office foyer in Dighton.  The second is at the City of Ness City office located at 208 W. Main St, Ness City, KS 67560. 

Kiosk

We have recently installed a kiosk station in the foyer of the Lane-Scott Electric office which is available 24 hours a day.  It accepts cash, check, credit or debit cards.  Use exact amounts if paying by cash, additional amounts will be credited to the account.  Keep your receipt, as it can be scanned for quicker use of future payments.

Online Bill Pay

Set-up an account using our SmartHub online bill pay at https://lanescott.smarthub.coop/Login.html.   Payments can be made anytime! Videos on how to use SmartHub can be found on our website at http://www.lanescott.coop/content/smart-hub-videos.  For security purposes Lane-Scott Electric employees can not reset a forgotten password for you.  You will have to reset it yourself using the “Forgot My Password” prompt on the login screen.

SmartHub Mobile App

Pay anytime by downloading the SmartHub mobile app from the Apple or Android marketplace on any mobile device.  Simply search for the “SmartHub” app by National Information Solutions Cooperative.  This is a FREE service with no fees. 

Pay By Phone

To pay your bill over the phone call 855.356.6351 and follow the operator prompts.  You can use your checking account or valid credit or debit card.  We recommend members use your account number when calling to ensure accuracy.  Payments can be made anytime.

AutoPay

An automatic bill pay method in which your electric bill is paid directly from the credit/debit card or checking/savings account you chose.  Members will continue to receive a monthly bill or chose to go paperless.  You can sign up for autopay through SmartHub our online bill pay system, or contact our office for an autopay form.  

Budget Billing

Available for residential rate members who prefer to pay the same amount each month.  Payments are set at your October – September 12 month average.  This monthly average is updated each year based on the previous year’s average electricity use.  You will still receive a monthly bill indicating the payment amount.  Any of the above payment methods can be used to pay your budgeted amount.  If you are interested, call or stop by the Lane-Scott Electric office.

PrePay

This option allows residential rate members to self-manage how much to pay during any given month. Prepayment is required to build a credit on your account. As long as there’s enough credit built to cover the electricity bill, the amount and time of payment is determined by the member.
